OUR PROGRAMMES

We are investing in the holistic development of people who are overcoming adversity, supporting them on a journey to restore their mana and fulfill their true potential.

Our work is delivered through two programmes:

  • Community Leadership Programme: Identifying, equipping & empowering emerging leaders from the community to become agents of change in their own lives, whānau and "spheres of influence".

  • The Luke Project: Serving our communities through love in action, offering transformative workshops, support groups and opportunities for people to help make a difference and bring about change in lives, families and communities.

Community Leadership Programme

Raising leaders from the community, for the community.

Our Community Leadership Programme (CLP) works to:

  • Empower people from the community who are overcoming adversity with untapped leadership potential, helping them find their purpose and unique strengths/gifts.

  • Equip people in every area of their lives, building character, skills and inner resources so people can lead from a place of wellness and give back to their community, using their unique strengths and experiences to help, support and mentor others

  • Provide opportunities for people to lead, serving the community through volunteering with The Luke Project, community partners and supporting them to bring change in their own spheres of influence.

Our Community Leadership Programme is delivered in three phases. Each phase takes a year with fortnightly sessions running from February to November and a graduation celebration in December.

The Luke Project

Serving our community through "love in action".

The Luke Project is about responding to the needs in our community - offering hope, understanding, support, and practical help.

People and families in our community are under increasing pressure as they struggle with the impact of poverty and unemployment, family violence, mental health issues, drug/alcohol dependency, and unresolved trauma, made worse by the cost of living crisis.

We are working to meet these needs and make a difference in a variety of ways including:

  • Workshops

  • Support Groups

  • Sharing stories of hope

  • Community Action
